






Pediatric Neuropsychiatry
The Pediatric Neuropsychiatry Unit focuses on the diagnosis and management of neurological and psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents.
Clinical activities are provided through outpatient services and consultations within hospital departments, including General Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, Neonatal Intensive Care, and the Pediatric Day Hospital.
The Unit collaborates closely with the Clinical Psychology Service.
Each year, the Unit performs approximately 4,000 clinical evaluations and 700 EEGs.
Services Provided:
The Unit specializes in neuropsychological evaluations (both clinical and test-based) for patients with cognitive impairments, language disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and other behavioral conditions, in collaboration with dedicated psychologists. Consultation services are provided to hospital departments admitting pediatric patients, with particular emphasis on General Pediatrics, Hematology-Oncology, and Neonatology. The Unit addresses all psychiatric and neurological conditions of adolescence, with a particular focus on epilepsy and the care of newborns at risk for neurological disorders.
