The IRCCS “Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza” hereby announces the extension of the deadline for the selection call for no. 1 Researcher/Postdoctoral Fellow for the award of a Coordinated and Continuous Collaboration Contract (Co.Co.Co.), with a duration until the end of the project (30 August 2026).
The activity will be carried out within the research activities of the Cancer Biomarkers Unit of ISBReMIT at the IRCCS “Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza” Hospital, to meet the needs of the PNRR project PNRR-TR1-2023-12377367 entitled “Coupling multi-omics with organotypic models to unravel the pathobiology and explore vulnerabilities in low grade serous ovarian cancer”, funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU – PNRR M6C2 – Investment 2.1 “Enhancement and strengthening of biomedical research within the National Health Service (SSN)”.
The conditions and selection procedures set out in the original call for applications remain valid. Candidates who have already duly submitted an application are not required to submit a new one.
In light of the above, the updated call for applications is provided below.
The IRCCS “Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza” intends to launch a selection process for 1 Researcher/Postdoctoral Fellow for the assignment of a Coordinated and Continuous Collaboration Contract (Co.Co.Co.) lasting until the completion of the project (August 30, 2026), to be carried out within the research activities of the Cancer Biomarkers Operational Unit of ISBReMIT at the IRCCS Hospital “Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza”, in connection with the project PNRR-TR1-2023-12377367 “Coupling multi-omics with organotypic models to unravel the pathobiology and explore vulnerabilities in low grade serous ovarian cancer”, funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU – PNRR M6C2 - Investment 2.1: Enhancement and strengthening of biomedical research within the National Health Service (SSN).
Applications must be submitted no later than January 15, 2026.

In their CV, candidates must declare — under penalty of exclusion — possession of the following specific requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences or related disciplines;
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular or Translational Medicine, or other related fields (a declaration by the Ph.D. supervisor, pursuant to D.P.R. 445/2000, confirming completion of the doctoral program and eligibility for thesis defense within the current year, will also be accepted);
- Proven (documented) knowledge of cancer biology and cancer genomics;
- Documented prior experience during doctoral studies in molecular biology, DNA/RNA analysis, and cell culture techniques;
- At least one (1) scientific publication (excluding review articles) as first author in peer-reviewed international journals in the field of cancer research;
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
Any degree obtained abroad must have been officially recognized as equivalent to Italian qualifications by the competent authorities by the closing date of the application submission.
Main responsibilities:
- Conducting basic cancer research using molecular and cellular biology technologies.
Candidates who apply for the position will receive notification of admission or non-admission to the selection process and details of the interview date via email at the address provided.
Admitted candidates will be required to attend an interview to assess their professional competence in the specific discipline, taking into account documented professional experience as well as organizational and management skills.
Candidates will be evaluated 60% based on the interview and 40% based on the curriculum.
The successful candidate and any suitable candidates subsequently called will undergo a pre-employment medical examination (at the Institute’s expense) to verify psycho-physical fitness for the assigned duties. This evaluation will be carried out by the Institute’s Authorized/Occupational Physician, in accordance with Article 2087 of the Italian Civil Code and Articles 15, 18, 25, 28(2)(f), 29, and 41(1)(a), (2)(e-bis), and (2-bis) of Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments.
The employer reserves the right to draw from the final ranking list of this selection to assign eligible candidates to other operational units and/or alternative scientific projects requiring similar professional profiles, according to organizational or service needs.
